	The Green Valley Story For over 40 years, Green Valley Turf Co. has been growing only the finest quality turfgrass sods. The farm started back in 1962 when Denver builder K.C. Ensor needed sod for homes he was building. The only sod that was available at the time was in the Midwest. So Mr. Ensor put Rusty Wilkins to work planting the first crop on his Littleton, Colorado farm. It was a success. Mr. Ensor's homes all came equipped with a great lawn and Green Valley Turf Co. was off and rolling.


	Over the years, the Ensor & Wilkins families have developed the first 20 acre field into 3 farms growing over 850 acres of turfgrass and serving the the front range. Green Valley Turf is committed to the customer, and quality is what has built our farm into Denver's oldest and most reputable turfgrass producer.

Innovation over the years
Green Valley Turf Co. is also dedicated to providing state-of-the-art turfgrass blends and innovated services. Every acre of our grass is backed by 40 years of careful turf farming so when you put in a lawn, you can rest easy. In the late seventies, Rusty was in the test plots experimenting with different grass seeds, and has learned over the years what blend of grasses make for the perfect lawn and hold up in the dry Colorado climate. From our expertise at turfgrass farming, we have learned the most efficient methods of growing and harvesting and pass the savings on to you.

Green Valley has harvested for over 15 years with one of the few fully automatic harvesters in the world. Our sod is cut in smaller pieces so it is easy to install and handle. We also are one of the first farms to cut and install big rolls. From 75 acre parks to your front yard, Green Valley passes on its commit to quality and years of experience. All of Green Valley's Turf farms are inspected by the Colorado Department of Agriculture, and receive a Sod Producers Inspection Verification Certificate that our fields are free of insects, prohibited weeds, and fungi.
