Our premium quality Kentucky
bluegrass combines four improved varieties of
bluegrass which perform in the dry Colorado climate. Our blend has a fine, soft texture
with upright leaves and a beautiful dense deep green color. It has excellent sod forming
characteristics and handles hard use and heavy traffic extremely well. We use Scotts®
seed, who have been producing seed for over 100 years and plant only their newest varieties
of bluegrass which are very disease resistance and have been tested and certified. This
blend handles climatic extremes, varying soil types, and has excellent drought tolerance.
Our four-way premium bluegrass blend produces high-quality, dense sod that roots
aggressively and produces a great lawn. |

RTF™ “Water Saver” |
|
|
|
 |
 |
|
RTF™ [ rhizomatous
tall fescue] is an advanced turf-type tall fescue that produces
rhizomes. Rhizomes are small underground lateral shoots that allow a
plant to spread laterally. This
enables the turf area to self repair itself.
This self healing trait has been limited to bluegrass. Fescue, which is
classified as a “clump grass” has never had this ability.
Now you can have a lawn with the best traits of
both bluegrass and fescue in one grass, RTF™ “Water Saver” fescue.
The rhizomes prevent the usual clumps that are associated with regular
fescue. RTF™ is so revolutionary,
Barenbrug USA, the seed company that develop it has entered into an license
agreement with the RTF™ Turf Producers Association.
This association was developed with the sole purpose of producing and
marketing RTF™ fescue sod. Headquartered
at Mead Nebraska, this association licenses turf producers around the country to
produce this remarkable new sod. Only
the best turf farms will be allowed to grow RTF™ fescue.
Green Valley Turf Co. is one of the few farms in the world to receive this
honor and is the only one in the Colorado area.

Legacy®
Buffalo grass
is a native low growing turfgrass, once established, has a
very low water requirement. It has a deep root system
that grows several feet into the soil which allows it to draw

thrives on 1/4
inch of water per week. The timing of your natural
rainfall will dictate when, and if, additional watering will
be required. Legacy®
is highly resistant to common turf
insects including; grubs, webworms and billbugs. Legacy®
is a sod forming grass that roots deep and sends out stolans
(runners) to spread new plants.
